I see ADULTS OF ALL AGES from my office in Redlands, CA (for individual and couples psychotherapy). I am also available for telehealth sessions for California residents via telephone or secure video conferencing. Sessions are 50 minutes long and tend to occur weekly, although the frequency is dependent on your needs and goals for our time together.

I am an advocate for MATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH and strive to dismantle the stigma of mental illness in motherhood, including the myth of “the perfect mother.” I love to work with women at any stage of motherhood: pre-pregnancy, infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, pregnancy, postpartum, toddlerhood, adolescence, and through the empty nest!

I received specialized training in PERINATAL MOOD AND ANXIETY DISORDERS from Postpartum Support International (www.postpartum.net). One of my greatest passions is walking the path through postpartum distress, whether depression, anxiety, or other postpartum illnesses, with new mothers, fathers, and families. Many mothers can feel incredibly guilty and hopeless when experiencing postpartum illness, especially if they or others close to them tell them they “should be happy,” or “should stop feeling that way,” etc. But postpartum mental illness happens to at least 1 in 7 new mothers and is much more common than many people realize. It in no way means you are a bad mother or that you have done something wrong. And, while it is incredibly distressing, it can be temporary! Please believe that you are not alone and you are not to blame. With help, you can be well!
